Searching for something fun the whole family can join in this weekend? Winchester’s busiest night market, Oktoberfest, is happening right here on Depot Street at Abettor Brewing Company. Entrepreneurial vendors from across Kentucky will be set up at this outdoor market selling handmade crafts and foods. This is a perfect opportunity to meet local artisans and businesses providing valuable resources to the community. Vendors will have a healthy supply of wares in stock to browse and purchase as well as contact information on how you can buy more of their product in the future. Vendors display and sell homemade candies, jams and jellies, and some of the best chicken salad you have ever tasted. Artisans will display hand-crafted wares including paintings, dolls, signs, cutting boards, and more. Local businesses will also be available to discuss services and products for the home. https://www.facebook.com/events/594675368670015/
As the evening approaches, live music featuring Winchester’s favorite local musicians is sure to get the energy rocking. Mason McCord, a powerhouse vocalist and guitarist will be serving up some southern blues rock with Jeoffrey Teague and Tyler Montgomery.
Anthony Highley came to us about two months ago and quickly became a regular at our Wednesday open jam, occurring weekly from 7:30-9:30 but more on that later. We quickly grew fond and offered him a gig here as we often do with our open jam performers.
Them Lasses, featuring Erin Sliney, Brittany Dawn Samples, and Abby Rank, take the stage next blending their unique voices in perfect harmony. These young women, all singer/songwriters in their own right, share their love of old-timey music in covers with their own style as well as offering up some poignant originals.
Rifletown, the highly talented musicians driving Clark County’s rising music scene are the Headliners for this Octoberfest festival. Collin Wallace, Randon Uhrig, Jason Howard, and Abettor Owner/operator Tyler Montgomery are avid music supporters working together as both band and support for local musicians. Their original music blending country, blues, and rock with free-style jam will keep you wanting for more. As the night progresses, they may even break into some old school covers sure to take the evening out in rock-n-roll style. This is set to be one show you do not want to miss.
Last but not least, Abettor will have a bier garden set up near the vendors in addition to their taproom being open. They will be featuring a variety of German style beer options including some riffs on the classics.
